And the Passing Beat Goes on at Arroyo

  (El Monte) – Okay we know we’ve seen a lot of passing games at Arroyo. Well, that’s because the Knights are always hosting and they’re in our backyard. Besides they bring in lot of different teams which means we can check out four or five different teams everytime they’re out.

Five Fire Away at Arroyo

(El Monte) – Five teams gathered late Thursday afternoon at Arroyo to fire the ball around. Azusa, Gladstone, Schurr and Northview all joined the the host Knights to get in some June work.

Four Throw at South Pas

(South Pasadena)— Muir, Alhambra, Rosemead and South Pasadena connected on Wednesday afternoon. It was casual, a little leg stretching, some defense, some passing and catching. A nice return for the Moors, evaluations for the Tigers, thoughts from Muir, and quarterback considerations by the Panthers. All should make for an interesting summer.

Temple City Title Bid Falls Short

(Riverside) – Palm Desert scored four times in the top of the first inning and pitcher Brooks Kriske did the rest in a 4-0 win over Temple City Saturday night in the CIF Division 4 Championship at UC Riverside.

Bearcats Capture Division III Title

By Tony Solorzano (Los Angeles) – The Bonita Bearcats claimed the second baseball title in school history with a 5-1 victory over the Alhambra Moors in the Division III finals of the CIF Southern Section-Ford Championships, Presented by Farmers Friday afternoon at Dodger Stadium.

Temple City 2 St. Bonaventure 0 Corey Copping fired a complete game shutout and went three for three at the plate to lead Temple City to a 2-0 victory over St. Bonaventure Tuesday and into the CIF Finals for the first time in school history. Copping allowed just five hits while striking out five.
