Mid-Valley Baseball Top 20

Bonita and Mayfair finish off perfect league runs while Crescenta Valley and Nogales get hot late to win their league titles. Alhambra holds on to win the Almont while Temple City beats Monrovia on the final day to win the Rio Hondo. Cal and La Puente survive to win the Del Rio and the Montview respectively. Playoff pairings will be announced Monday.

By Corey Kwok Friday May 11 Crescenta Valley 7 Arcadia 0 CV dealt a crushing blow to end Arcadia’s three year reign in Pacific with 7-0 shutout. Kyle Murray served 61 of 98 pitches for strikes while allowing two hits and striking out nine in a dominant complete game gem.

It’s Official: Corey Copping Commits to Oklahoma

(Temple City) – Temple City pitcher Corey Copping has committed to Oklahoma Ram Coach Barry Bacon confirmed. Copping received an offer from the Sooners a couple of weeks ago and then took a visit to the campus.

Gabrielino Wears MVL Crown

By Corey Kwok (San Gabriel) – Gabrielino reclaimed the MVL crown by shutting out defending champion Arroyo 8-0 at home Tuesday behind two RBIs apiece from Johnny Moreno and Lorenzo Mena along with a complete game one hit shutout by Angel Acosta (his sixth of this season).
