By Corey Kwok (Alhambra) – Alashanee Medina delivered a complete game three hit shutout with no walks while strking out 13 batters and also went two for three at the plate to lead Keppel to a 2-0 win over Alhambra in a a key Almont league contest Thursday.

By Corey Kwok (San Gabriel) – Angel Acosta delivered a dominant complete game no hitter and received plenty of run support as Gabrielino small-balled its way to a seven run third inning before settling for an 8-0 shutout over South El Monte in a key MVL contest Wednesday.

By Corey Kwok (Arcadia) – Arcadia, leading 8-0 after a seven run second inning outburst, scrapped for two more runs in the fifth and put and end to the game with three in the sixth on Cameron Tuck‘s two run (mercy rule walkoff) hit, to round out a 13-3 rout of Muir Monday.

Back from Spring Break and teams are gearing up for a final push to playoffs. Let’s hope the rain disappears for the rest of the season as teams are going to have to play catch up with rain outs.

Not a lot of changes this week as several teams were competing in Easter Tournaments. Bonita continues to roll in Hacienda with a win over Diamond Bar. Monrovia suddenly looks unbeatable in the Rio. La Puente and Sierra Vista headed for a showdown in Montview.

Bonita wins the Arcadia Invitational while Mayfair competes at St. Paul. Alhambra hit a bump in the Almont road while Monrovia looks like the best team in the Rio Hondo. Temple City took a road trip to Vegas but we’re not sure how the Rams fared since what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
