Mid Valley Softball Top 20

Heading into the Spring Vacation break and most teams are getting ready for the final three weeks of the season and jockeying for playoff position. Local area teams will be in the Northview tournament this week and the Sierra League continues play prior to its break after the Spring break.

Mid Valley Baseball Top 20

Bonita, Mayfair, Whittier and Alhambra continue to roll. Arcadia slipped but it was against a solid Glendora team. Temple City dropped after a tough loss to Monrovia. San Marino, La Puente and Sierra Vista look like sleeper teams. Can anybody hit Gabrielino’s Angel Acosta?

(Arcadia) – A two-hour and thirty minute marathon on Friday night ended on Lisa Rosas’s high-chopper behind the mound as Katelyn Morreale scored from third with two-outs to complete Arcadia’s improbable 7-6 comeback victory over La Salle.

Monrovia Hands Temple City First Loss

By Corey Kwok (Temple City) – Monrovia overcame a two run deficit with a four run fourth and went on to beat Temple City 4-2 Thursday in Rio Hondo League action.

Acosta No Hits Arroyo

(San Gabriel) – Angel Acosta fired a no hitter and Gabrielino got the only run it needed in the fourth inning to beat Arroyo 1-0 Wednesday in Mission Valley League action.
