Heralds Claim Olympic League Title

By Tony Solorzano (Whittier)- Four scores by quarterback Daniel Chacon led Whittier Christian to claim a share of the Olympic League title as they defeated Valley Christian 41-23 Friday night at Whittier College‘s Memorial Stadium.

The Lancers (3-6, 1-3) broke a three-game Almont League skid by shutting out the Aztecs (2-7, 0-4), keeping them winless in league play.

The Spartans (3-6, 3-1) maintained their playoff hopes by holding off their cross town rivals, the Oilers (3-6, 1-3) with a serendipitous fumble recovery.
