Burroughs Rolls as Anding Returns

By Eddie Solomon (Glendale) – Zander Anding carried the ball only six times as he returned to the field after a collapsed lung sidelined him last week. But he racked up 223 yards with those carries as Burroughs routed Hoover 42-14 Thursday night in Pacific League play.

San Dimas Domination, 34-6

(Covina) – Jake Payton ran for three touchdowns and Devante Brown had over 100 yards rushing to lead San Dimas to a 34-6 rout of Northview Thursday night at Covina District Field.

    West Covina just looks too good to be beat currently. Mayfair would like nothing more than win the Suburban League crown against La Mirada. Arcadia can get a share of the Pacific League title by winning the remainder of its games. Santa Fe’s preseason schedule paid dividends during Del Rio League play.

Mid-Valley Division Top 20

Covina is in cruise control with only one game left on the regular season schedule. Monrovia is running the Rio table while Arroyo rallied for a huge win in the MVL but still has El Monte on the docket.

White Earns ABC Coach of the Week Honors (See Video Link)

Buena Park Head Coach Anthony White has earned ABC 7 Coach of the Week honors. The Buena Park football program featuring interviews with White and player Carlos Mota was showcased on the Sports Zone with Rob Fukazaki following the USC – Stanford game Saturday night.

After watching West Covina crush Los Altos last night I’m wondering who can beat them? I’m thinking nobody. The Bulldogs have lost once…to Loyola…the same Loyola team that beat Bishop Amat 14-3 last night. And Chris Solomon didn’t play.
