Heralds Sneak Past Lancers

Lancers Continue Struggles
(West Covina) – In the midst of losing six of seven games, La Salle came in looking for a break to start a different streak. Instead, the Lancers dropped their second straight Del Rey League contest to St. Paul 5-2.
La Canada Powers Its Way to Rio Hondo Win
(La Canada) – After a week and half hiatus due to inclement weather, La Canada flexed its muscle to halt Monrovia’s four-game winning streak 5-0.
In the Circle: March 28
Rain, rain, go away. Come again another day. Rain has made a mess of the schedule. Some teams did play during when the rain didn’t persist during last week.
High School Softball Top 25
Not many changes with the abbreviated schedule due to the inclement weather. This week many make-up games either because of scheduling conflicts or rain. Bonita (11-2) – Bearcats get a rare week off due to rain. South Hills (8-3) – Promising start to Sierra League.
High School Baseball Area Top 25
The real winner this week was the rain as it wreaked havoc on the schedule all week. Nearly all of Friday’s games were called due to damage that the storms did to the playing fields. There were a few changes however with a couple of surprises early in the week.
