(Pomona) – Diamond Ranch running back Chase Price, who left in the third quarter of the Rowland game with an ankle injury Saturday night, should be ready to play in two weeks according to Panther Coach Roddy Layton. He might not miss a game.

Old School Top 12

By Johnathan Saller The time came for Mountain View to prove it was for real and couldn’t do it. I really thought Jossymar Ulloa would be enough to get a win but apparently the Lions have a pretty good back themselves in Michael Jimenez.

High School Football Top 20: Mid-Valley Division

Things remained status quo at the top of the pack. The top eight teams all won and the ninth – Maranatha- lost to number 2-Whittier Christian. I’m convinced that Monrovia and Azusa won’t lose the rest of the regular season. Whittier Christian and Covina however still have a couple of hurdles to clear.

The EMHS homecoming affair was also the Mission Valley League opener for both schools.

Heralds Granted Victory Over Minutemen

(Whittier) – In a four game Olympic League season schools have about as much leeway as two guys walking a tightrope in opposite directions over Niagara Falls. Only one can go forward and the other has to take the long fall. Visiting Maranatha and Whittier Christian dueled for four quarters before the Heralds literally held […]

Spartans Spoil Bell Gardens Homecoming

By Matt Schuler (Bell Gardens)- “It’s Not over till the fat lady sings,” or at least according to the Schurr high school football team it isn’t. Schurr overcame 14 penalties and used a late game-winning touchdown drive to spoil Bell Gardens homecoming, 17-10, and clinch the first game of Almont league play on Friday night […]
