The truth is that we are undersized and lacking experience at defensive end. That’s been especially true since we lost Jade Tsang to injury a couple of weeks ago. The lack of roster depth has been a difficult issue for us to contend with.
Well ER still won that night, ultimately it doesn’t matter to me, but just putting a fact about who won the game that’s it.

Ganesha has a 37 man roster, they had plenty of guys to compete. There’s many coaches throughout the valley who would love to have his roster even with the injury’s. C’mon, that’s a disgrace. That just tells us, he doesn’t coach his players up. I can understand if they had 15 players on the roster and 5 got hurt. Anything short of that is just pathetic, never even heard of a team Quiting at halftime.
From T. Peterson: Not sure where you got that number. They had nowhere near 37 for this game. They ran out of players and it wasn’t safe to continue. In this game, in this situation, he made the right decision. Last thing you need with a 30 point deficit on a Thursday night is more players being carted off the field. Actually the decision was pretty easy.

I personally seen his team improve over the summer when he was at LA. They first came out against ER and SD and they were terrible but by the end of summer they were in the semifinals of the Bonita tournament only losing to that Upland team that became D2 CIF champs. The two things the Spathais and staff will do each and every season is improve over the course of the year and win ball games. And that LA team didn’t have a whole lot of talent on it, only three kids returned from the year before. Basically he had a JV team and he coached them up to 7-3 and was only expected to win two games that year. I’m happy for them and staff. I hope they win league.

Last night captured the essence of what high school football was all about. The ambiance the cheering even the trash talk (one heckler)
Was just awesome. Now the game may have got out of hand nonetheless just a great experience and congratulations to both programs, you gained a fan.
LS won that game in trenches and maybe historically. When one team has beaten you so many times even say like Arroyo has beaten my Mt View Vikings (I know I know)
But even when you have a good team you still lose because mentally it’s hard to overcome the thought of years of losing. ER is a budding program and from the looks of things building a program like LS has built with talent and culture, LS has just been doing for years now. I’m ER will get there soon… maybe real soon. So good luck to both teams, I know both squads will represent their communities well.

I’m a parent who son played for Spathais during his first time coaching there. You can call it Div 18 football all you want. But I was there to se the progress those kids made. The blog here is to give credit or recognize a good acomplishment some teams do. Yeah guys like to come on here and brag about there teams. But it’s all good. I think every parent or ex players should be proud of where they or there kids played. I’m not bragging that Bassett will be a powerhouse but it great to see progress and win games

ER ran into a juggernaut! LS is on a different level.
No one is hiding. ER lost to a better team. No excuses. La Serna dominated ER. Hats off to them. The scary thing is LS is going to be much better next year. For us it’s now concentrating on the playoffs. Much luck to LS in the playoffs. So now it’s LS and ER representing the Del Rio.
Na, not me, LS is just better. My heart wouldve loved for ER to win, but my mind told me it was going to be hard no matter what, LS has some tremendous skill players, their O-Line did an amazing job don’t think I saw the LS QB get touched much at all. Anytime ER got close to the red zone LS just buckled down and made plays.
Lincoln High of LA quit at half time vs Ron Cuccia’s LA Wilson back in 1975 but the score was 63-0 Wilson! That was news back then not sure this will make a dent. Sad state of affairs at Ganesha!

Ganesha coach said they “didn’t have enough players to play the second half” down 33-6. The game was stopped with 1:50 left in half and they said “no mas”. Never seen or heard that before.
