Good Morning!

T-minus-9 until Manny Ramirez returns to Dodgers lineup

I didn’t see Randy Backus at Arcadia either…so I’m not going with it…

Right now, up front, quarterback coaching gypsy John Tuttle you are cordially invited to join the Mid Valley staff this fall…I’m sure you know something about football, but we believe your hidden value lies in the ability to locate every football stadium in the area on a Friday night…since you’ve worked for every football program from here to Odessa…

Wow, someone from Paraclete posted on our site! The Mid Valley News Empire, supported by its 10 readers, invades the Antelope Valley!

How do I feel when I see the Angels get trashed like they did last night against the Rockies? Think John Scanlan when Juan Pierre goes 0 for 4…

Scanlan returns to “The Mid Valley Sports Show” tonight at 8:30…

Believe it or not through 1982 I was an Angel fan…excited when they won the A.L. West in 1979, thrilled when they did it again in 1982 with Reggie Jackson.

However, after Gene Mauch fashioned another disaster when up 2-0 against the Brewers, they let Don Baylor, “Groove”, exit to the Yankees with little fanfare.

Baylor would go on to consecutive World Series appearances with the Red Sox, Twins, and A’s…The Halos, to my profound joy, would lose to the Red Sox in the 1986 ALCS after being one strike away from winning it all.

Last Add Don Baylor: Currently the Rockies hitting coach, forgotten is Baylor’s ninth inning home run in Game Five of the 1986 ALCS which set the stage for Dave Henderson’s historic blast off Donnie Moore.

Yeah, I love to hate the Angels…

Word is the Boston Celtics are offering the emerging Rajon Rondo for the right price. I guess now we’ll see how Celtic GM Danny Ainge does when he has to deal with the rest of the league and not former teammates running the Minnesota Timberwolves who cut him sweetheart deals.

Are there any baseball fans who like retiring MLB Players Union boss Donald Fehr?

The Rockies are rolling…Have I told you I’ve been to Coors Field twice? Peterson of course has always been a Rockies fan…Or is that a Coors fan?

“Football Rush Week” is coming…

I have had more than one person contact me about San Marino quarterback Joe Forgatch being overlooked in what is a talented passing class in the Rio Hondo League…So keep an eye on him…

Stay thirsty my friends…
