Fowlkes came into his own last year with 119 total tackles at linebacker as he emerged as a leader of the Montebello defense. He anchors a strong returning Oiler crew that looks to be a among the strongest units in the Mid-Valley Division. DC Brian Zavala loves what Fowlkes does and compared his linebackers with his group from Northview in 2008. Fowlkes can also run the football and will be called upon for some tough yards down in the red zone. Last year Fowlkes scored three touchdowns. Fowlkes and the Oilers are expected to compete for the Almont League title and a possible run in the playoffs.
