(La Verne)- The Bonita Bearcats closed their last home game of the year in fashion beating the Los Altos Conquerors 44-32 on Friday night at Glenn Davis Stadium.
The Bearcats Jake Payton shredded the Conquerors defense rushing for 221 yards on 19 carries and four touchdowns as he literally became a highlight show each time he touched the ball.
Payton also returned a punt 87-yards for a score and had a 64-yard touchdown reception.
Los Altos countered with Estuardo Marcos, who had 31 carries for 191 yards, and three scores.
Bonita’s Tanner Diebold was 11 for 18 for 177 yards and a touchdown. Lorenzo Silva went 10 for 22 128 yards, and a score playing quarterback for the Conquerors.
Bonita (6-3 overall, 3-2 in Hacienda League) is at Diamond Ranch (8-1, 5-0 league) next week. Los Altos (7-2, 3-2 league) hosts West Covina (5-4, 3-2 league).
