1.) The Friday night edition of “The Mid Valley Sports Show” is LIVE tonight (7:PM) at www.midvalleysports.com

2.) “Go play. It’s not about you. It’s about your football team.”—NFL Hall of Famer Jack Youngblood when asked what he would say to New York Giants defensive end Jason-Pierre Paul.

4.) Kansas City Chiefs HC Andy Reid is 14-1 coming out of a bye week in his career. KC is playing the Denver Broncos this week.

5.) Baldwin Park and Arroyo last met on October 10th, 2003. The Knights won 21-0 at BP. The last time the two schools met at Bergstrom Stadium, Arroyo won 40-7 was October 11, 2002. In that two year span Baldwin Park was 1-18-1.

8.) On this day in 1960, Los Angeles Lakers guard Elgin Baylor scored 71 points, and NBA record at the time, against the New York Knicks.

9.) La Salle (9-1, 6-0) host’s Carpinteria (7-3, 1-3) tonight (7:30 p.m.). The Lancers last won a playoff game on November 16th, 2007 when they defeated the Azusa Aztecs 30-3 at home. Sophomore quarterback Chase Rettig threw three touchdown passes in the win.

10.) That Azusa playoff game in 2007 was Craig Schuster’s last as the Aztecs HC. He is currently the defensive coordinator at Monrovia.
