Top four teams are legitimate contenders for Northwest title. Two others, you can guess who they are, might have a shot if they get hot and stay healthy. Notre Dame/Riverside is much, much, better than we thought. And for the first time in two years Arrowhead Christian is on the outside looking in at the Top Ten.
.) Templeton (3-0, 0-0)— Do the Eagles have the most talent? No, but they keep on flying.
.) Nipomo (2-1, 0-0)— Santa Ynez this week and then…? Atascadero & Arroyo Grande at home.
.) Linfield Christian (3-0, 0-0)— Whacked Pasadena Poly and are demanding to be moved higher in the rankings.
.) Notre Dame/Riverside—(3-0, 0-0)— Ignore NDR at your own risk…This is a final four team…Maybe even better…
.) Mission Prep (2-0, 0-0)— The Royals are good…but they have a problem. It’s called the Northern League. It’s loaded with bad dudes.
.) Bishop Montgomery (3-0, 0-0)— The class of the South Catholic, but can HC Ed Hodgkiss find room to run in the post season.
.) Valley Christian (3-0, 0-0)— The Crusaders are going to be seriously tested this week against Mayfair.
.) 29Palms (2-0, 0-0)— How good is this team? They blasted Arrowhead Christian right out of the Top Ten.
.) Maranatha (2-1, 0-0)— Minutemen finding some footing. They are going to have to find a passing game.
.) Pasadena Poly (2-1, 0-0)— Trip to Linfield Christian was a hard fall back to earth for the Panthers.
