1. San Marino came back from a three touchdown deficit to beat Sierra Canyon and advance to the CIF State Open Small-Schools Division Championship. The game will be at Sacramento State College Saturday December 19th at 4:00 p.m.
2. Alabama’s Derrick Henry wins the 2015 Heisman Trophy with 1,832 points in the voting followed by Christian McCaffrey with 1,539.
3. The Milwaukee Bucks beat the Golden State Warriors 108-95 to end the Warrior’s record winning streak of 24 games to start the season.
4. La Mirada will host Campolindo Saturday night in the CIF State Divsion III-AA Championship game. The game is scheduled for Saturday night December 19th at 6:00 p.m. at La Mirada High School.
5. LA King Marcel Dionne became the 9th player in NHL history to score 500 goals on this day in 1982.
6. The Carolina Panthers remain undefeated (13-0) after beating the Atlanta Falcons 38-0 Sunday.
7. Jason Heyward has agreed to an 8-year $184 million dollar deal with the Chicago Cubs. Heyward hit .293 with 13 hr’s and 60 rbi’s in 2015.
8. On this day in 1953 the Brooklyn Dodgers signed Sandy Koufax.
9. Former Whittier Christian defensive lineman Jeff Worthy play in most likely his last college football game Saturday when Arizona takes on New Mexico in the New Mexico Bowl.
