In a much anticipated move the Denver Broncos have traded starting quarterback Jay Cutler to the Chicago Bears.
Cutler became disgruntled by new Denver head coach Josh McDaniels comments about including him in a three way deal that included Matt Cassel. A sit down meeting produced little results and now the deal has been struck.
Cutler and a fifth round pick in this year’s draft to the Bears for Kyle Orton and first round picks in 2009 (as well as a third in ’09) and 2010.
Chicago also announced the signing of seven time pro bowl left tackle Orlando Pace, recently released by the St. Louis Rams, to a three year deal.
