  1. New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees officially announced his retirement Sunday after 20 years.  
  2. Jarod Lucas (former Los Altos star) and the Oregon State Beavers beat Colorado 70-68 Saturday night to win the Pac 12 Tournament. 
  3. St. John Bosco beat Sierra Canyon 42-21 Saturday night to open the high school football season. 
  4. St. Francis scored with 11 seconds left to beat Mira Costa 38-35 Saturday night. 
  5. Former Middleweight boxing champion “Marvelous” Marvin Hagler passed away Saturday at the age of 66. 
  6. Running back Aaron Jones returned to the Green Bay Packers on a four-year, $48 million deal. 
  7. March Madness – Four Top Seeds: West: Gonzaga, East: Michigan, South: Baylor, Midwest: Illinois. 
  8. USC is the number six seed in the West and will face either Wichita State or Drake. UCLA has a play-in game against Michigan State in the East. 
  9. Pac 12 Tournament Champion Oregon State is the number 12 seed in the Midwest and will face Tennessee. 
  10. “Sugar Ray wouldn’t give me a rematch, and that’s the reason I walked away from boxing.” – Marvin Hagler.
