For the first time in a few years Medrano may have a few above average pieces to work with. A QB that can see over the defensive rushers and big enough to dole out punishment if he runs. A proven running back with all league potential. A solid linebacking corp led by an all league stud. A proven coaching staff that understands PR reputation as small but hitting hard enough to leave dents and knows how to get the most of their guys. Away at the Gano led Don Lugo team will be an interesting test.
Here comes the “Going undefeated” comments. Cmon ER stop smoking weed, it’s killing your brain cells. You need to play pop warner teams to be competitive. LS and Cal will own you. BG will have the W this year and don’t sleep on LUGO.
Sure as soon as you return the $25k you stole from the Pico Dons, btw focus on cleaning the inside of your house, all your “friends” say it’s a trap house.
I wish SP didn’t dodge us this year ! … just bc they don’t have the usual travel team. oh well
BG, MTB – I love tradition but they aint helping anyone get better TBH, Id take them off schedule
SV- well , it looked better last year when matt was there but now that he’s gone … FML take them off
NW- idk , I been hearing they got a good thing right now and have a bunch of hungry boys… NW is unpredictable bc they can turn into a championship team over night if they can keep the kids local
Arroyo is real BLUEPRIDE??? …. ROFL , LOL, YOU WISH
yall need to say “babyBLUEPRIDE” or “PowderBLUEPRIDE” LOL
I know its been a while for the ranch but has Arroyo ever been # 1 in the nation or won a division 1 CIF championship? That’s where the blue pride moniker comes from
ER was led by the worst coach in the history of the world who happened to be from Arroyo. The last 3 times ER has taken the field against Arroyo it has not been pretty, only the word “scrimmage” has saved arroyo.
Numbers actually didn’t look too bad when I saw them earlier in the week. I counted about 60 on varsity and about 30 freshmen however I was just told that we are going to play frosh/Soph since a lot of the teams are struggling with freshmen numbers, would’ve been a decent Frosh team IMO.
As far as the varsity is concerned I see some very winnable games in preseason. League is going to be a battle.
The key characteristic of the pandemic spring season for El Rancho was not being able to convert on short yardage situations and not having much of a speed threat at RB, ER now has a power run game, a shifty speed threat and an all purpose back that is going to turn some heads. The OL has a couple of key additions and I foresee they will be improved, perhaps the biggest question is going to be at QB, if Elijah Mitchell can get it going then it could be a truly special season. October 1 vs Cal and October 22 vs La Serna will be some huge games.
Praying Covid stays away, but it’s going to be difficult. Good luck and Go Dons!
Looks like their numbers are down much like most school in the area but I think the squad they have will make for an interesting year. If they stay healthy they can do well. The last time I saw a tall QB at El Rancho was in the early 90’s with a Kid named Jimmy Arellanes. This kid Michell looks good so we’ll see. They have to sharpen the rough edges but I think they’ll do fine.
Don Lugo – – W
Bell Gardens – – W
Sierra Vista – – W
Montebello – – W
Santa Ana – – L
Norwalk – – W
Cal – – L
Whittier – – W
Santa Fe – – W
La Serna – – L
7-3 may slip into the playoffs, preseason schedule may hurt them because it is not very tough.
Well you reversed from 0-10 to 5-5. What happened? Who is your team BTW. Not Santa Fe I hope. OUCH!
Bro they don’t hit hard and the RB is avg at best. Relax and enjoy the 5- 5 season

Will be interesting since CIF will not be announcing Division placements until AFTER THE REGULAR SEASON
Remember in 2019 Santa Fe had a freshmen starting at QB against us, pretty sure that kid is now the QB for Norwalk

You haven’t been hit until you’ve been hit by The Ranch
MY2CENTS

Can Medrano put his face on the team poster next year please?? HAHA
I would like to see that game now
What’s next kids? My dad can beat up your dad.

Arroyo beat El Rancho 4 straight years from 2004-2007 seasons🤷🏻♂️
Arroyo plays in a weak League and Division. The School’s Arroyo plays are above Pop-Warner Level.
ERHS opened in 1952, Arroyo opened in 1955, sorry bud.
Not the real blue pride!!! Arroyo Knights are the real Blue Pride!!!
4-6? Wow hahaha
