  1. The Houston Astros beat the Atlanta Braves 7-2 Wednesday night in Game 2 to even the World Series at 1-1. Game 3 is Friday night in Atlanta. 
  2. The San Diego Padres hired former Oakland A’s manager Bob Melvin as their new manager. 
  3. The Green Bay Packers beat the previously undefeated Arizona Cardinals 24-21 on Thursday Night Football. 
  4. The Lakers fell to the Oklahoma City Thunder 123-115 Wednesday night to drop to 2-3 on the year. 
  5. Former Washington Bullets GM Bob Ferry, who led the team to their only NBA championship in 1978, passed away at the age of 84. 
  6. #6 Michigan (7-0) at #8 Michigan St. (7-0), Saturday 9:00 AM, FOX. 
  7. Baldwin Park finished the season 10-0 after Workman canceled its game with the Braves Thursday night due to injuries. The contest was ruled a forfeit by Workman. 
  8. Rams at Houston Texans, Sunday 10:00 AM, FOX. 
  9. The Dodgers have 11 free agents including Kenley Jansen, Clayton Kershaw, Max Scherzer, Chris Taylor and Corey Seager. 
  10. Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is questionable for Sunday Night’s game against the Minnesota Vikings with a calf strain.
