  1. Boys Basketball: Arcadia beat Cathedral 71-58 Saturday night to finish the regular season at 17-7. 
  2. The La Canada Boys Basketball team beat San Marino 53-44 Saturday night in the final regular season game which sent the Rio Hondo League into a three-way tie for first place. By virtue of league tiebreakers San Marino is number 1, La Canada 2 and South Pasadena 3. 
  3. NFL official Tony Corrente, who was a former teacher at La Mirada, has retired after 27 years in the NFL and officiated his last game Sunday in the Pro Bowl. 
  4. The AFC beat the NFC 41-35 Sunday in the Pro Bowl Sunday at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. 
  5. The Miami Dolphins named San Francisco 49ers OC Mike McDaniel as their new head coach. 
  6. The Gabrielino Boys basketball team won the MVL title with a perfect 12-0 record. 
  7. Former Cleveland Browns HC Hue Jackson said he wasn’t directly paid to lose but that evidence of the team’s intent to lose will come. 
  8. The Boys Basketball CIF playoff pairings will be announced Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. 
  9. “Why do they wear pads in the Pro Bowl? It is 1-hand touch at best.” – Mayfair HC Derek Bedell on Twitter. 
  10. On this day in 2010 the New Orleans Saints beat the Indianapolis Colts 31-17 in Super Bowl XLIV at Sun Life Stadium in Miami. Saints quarterback Drew Brees was named MVP.

    The pro bowl is like a globe trotters game without the fancy dribbling and fake buckets of water.
