  1. The Dodgers beat the Angels 2-0 Tuesday night at Dodger Stadium.  
  2. The Golden State Warriors beat the Boston Celtics 104-94 in Game 5 Monday night to take a 3-2 series lead in the NBA Finals. 
  3. The Vegas Golden Knights have hired Bruce Cassidy as their new head coach. 
  4. Colony will host a passing tournament this Saturday June 18 featuring local teams Pasadena, South Hills, El Monte, Monrovia, Los Altos and Baldwin Park. 
  5. Stanley Cup Final: Colorado Avalanche vs Tampa Bay Lightning; Game 1 is Wednesday night in Colorado. 
  6. San Diego Padres GM A.J. Preller said shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. still can’t swing a bat as he continues to recover from a surgically repaired left wrist.  
  7. Former Alabama quarterback Jay Barker entered a “best interest” plea to a misdemeanor charge of reckless endangerment. 
  8. On this date in 2001 the Lakers beat the Philadelphia 76ers 100-86 to wrap up the NBA title in five games. Shaquille O’Neal was named series MVP. 
  9. Former Dodgers outfielder/ Current Houston Astros manager Dusty Baker turns 73 today.
