La Serna win cements their team !! You can cry all you want but they beat the best.
Doesn’t matter what you have to say about La Serna, we won state! Deal with it.
Thank you CIF, without the CJ Ceron gift La Serna doesn’t get out of the 1st round. Thank you Rob Wigod
I’d trade that games result to still be playing this weekend.
El Rancho beat BG what’s new ? Get over it !

It’s $17 per ticket to attend one of these state championships. GoFan, the covid-inspired online ticketing racket, then adds a $3 “convenience fee”, which is only convenient for giving this outfit a hefty profit. With these kind of charges, it’s no wonder state has so many title games. They know all the adults will want to see their little Al Bundys playing in a big game. Maybe soon, they’ll add a consolation round, where all the losers play each other, and the winner of that can claim to have ‘won state.’
I’m burning the midnight oil with the 99-only manager to create a hybrid state title ring, which will read LS on one side and BG on the other side of a pop-out disc. I urge all Lancers fans of either city to purchase them in bulk for the low unit price of just $1.99 each (100 piece minimum). Show everyone how much you care!
El Rancho dominated and went running clock 35-0 vs Bell Gardens . Then never win another game this year …what does that say ?
Injuries and tough early schedule wore El Rancho down and BG in right place at right time.
Btw do they flip coins for home away in State ??? How can Rio have four straight road games and a 200 mile trip for State and BG get all these home games ???
I really don’t need State Playoffs . Sixteen games for high school kids ??? We wouldn’t have to start the season before kids start school. Of course it is $$$ for CIF , so I’m talking nonsense..,,,
woohoo BG 4th best almont team going to state.. not there fault i know but dumb system
Good Luck to Lancer Nation as they take on powerhouse Sacramento Grant, who just a few years back was playing in the State’s Top Division and beating LB Poly for the Open Div. State Title. Surprised they aren’t playing in Div. 1 anymore.
From 1990-2009, Sacramento Grant went an incredible 207-36-2.
Over the last 2 seasons, Grant is very good at 24-4, and are looking to repeat as State Champs after a wild finish last year when they won the state title by a score of 36-34.
We got Lancers everywhere in the State Finals from the 4 biggest divisions like La Serna to the 4 smallest divisions like Bell Gardens. Let’s hope both Lancers, who are old Whitmont league foes, end up winning State Titles.
West Covina was also a finalist and Santa Fe was in the Semi finals, credit to every one of those programs who went deep or still battling. Gotta keep working and strive to achieve what these schools have achieved this season.
INTERESTING FACT:
3 SCHOOLS EL RANCHO PLAYED ARE IN THE STATE FINALS.
FB Fan yes he is a great influence at both schools you’ll see him there on Saturday for the BG game
11:00 a.m. on a Saturday! Guess I won’t be able to sleep in.
Good luck (all) Lancers!
Pretty interesting that both schools that Margarito Beltran oversaw as the HC are both in the state finals. No theories here, just pointing out an interesting coincidence.
Best wishes to the Lancers (of Bell Gardens) as they attempt to run the tables in the fashion of Jesse Cineceros’ El Monte Lions of a few years ago. Make the city of Bell Gardens proud!
