  1. The Detroit Lions beat the Minnesota Vikings 30-24 Sunday to win their first division championship since 1993. 
  2. Former Arroyo head coach Chuck Leonardis has been hired as the defensive coordinator at Diamond Bar.
  3. Chad Ryland kicked a 56-yard field goal with two seconds left as the New England Patriots (4-11) stunned the Denver Broncos 26-23 on Sunday Night. The Broncos fell to 7-8 with the loss.  
  4. The Miami Dolphins secured a playoff spot with a 22-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys Sunday. Jason Sanders kicked a 29-yard field goal as time expired to win it. 
  5. The Detroit Pistons matched the NBA record for longest losing streak in a season Saturday night falling to the Brooklyn Nets 126-115 for their 26th consecutive loss. 
  6. Shohei Ohtani gave Dodgers reliever Joe Kelly’s wife Ashley a new Porsche as a gift for her offering up her husband’s number 17 to the newly acquired free agent.  
  7. The Seattle Mariners signed catcher Mitch Garver, who was with the Texas Rangers last year, to a two-year, $24 million deal.  
  8. Former Baltimore Orioles third baseman Ryan Minor, who replaced Cal Ripken at the end of his record-setting consecutive games streak in 1998, passed away Friday at the age of 49. 
  9. With Malachi Nelson entering the transfer portal that leaves USC with Miller Moss as the only quarterback available for the Holiday Bowl Wednesday night against Louisville.

    9. They have a walk on that’s been taking a lot of practice reps, miller is the only scholarship qb though.
