Great comment to show the ridiculousness of the current system. Want competitive equity? Get the leagues right and then teams won’t be able to manipulate the system the way they are now. Competitive leagues will make competitive playoffs; not some computer ranking system.
5) 5 of the six first round playoff games were blowouts with 14 point or more margins of victory . Some of the games even more one-sided than margin would indicate . Only one close game . Clearly this indicates we must modify playoff format and use power ratings to align equal teams in first round, so we can have close games and improve our television ratings . This competitive equity model will further randomize whole playoff structure and allow more cities to experience Super Bowl glory.
I’m guessing So. Pasadena coaches and players had a big axe to grind over some Monrovia actions in the past.
