  1. Charter Oak receiver Legend Lyons received an offer from Fresno State. 
  2. The Seattle Seahawks hired Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald as their new head coach. 
  3. Terry Beasley, a former Auburn wide receiver and College Football Hall of Famer, died of an apparent suicide. He was 73. 
  4. The Washington Commanders are set to hire Dallas Cowboys DC Dan Quinn as their new head coach. 
  5. The Toronto Blue Jays signed Justin Turner to a one-year, $13 million deal. 
  6. Cal Ripken Jr. and Grant Hill are part of the investor group that has agreed to buy the Baltimore Orioles. 
  7. The San Francisco 49ers are currently a two-point favorite over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII. 
  8. On this day in 2020 the Chiefs beat the 49ers 31-20 in Super Bowl LIV at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was named MVP. 
  9. The Rams have promoted Linebackers coach Chris Shula to defensive coordinator.  
  10.  The Southern California North/South SGV All-Star game will be played May 10 at Schurr High School. More details to follow.

    Not normally a Niners fan, but if it will throw water on the Kelce-Swift nonsense, I hope the California team wins big.
