[Norwalk] – The Lancers double wing offense gained 439 yards and rolled to a 49-6 victory over Montebello Friday night at Norwalk high school.
Norwalk started off fast and kept it going through out the night. Derek Sandoval capped off the first drive with a seven yard touchdown run.
The Lancers defense showed up as well shutting down the Oilers offense.
Ezra Muelller found the end zone on the second drive getting in from eight yards out.
NorRock scored 28-points in the second quarter. Diego Cerritos had two scores, Juan Campos fell on a sack fumble in the end zone and Tyler Burton found paydirt with a 22-yard touchdown from Nick Barrera.
Norwalk was up 42-0 at halftime.
Mueller scored again early in the third before the Lancers called off the dogs.
Montebello got on the ball late in the game when Freddy Morales dove in from one yard out.
Burton stood out on defense too with an interception. Onosai Faamatau had a sack fumble in the end zone and Joel Espinoza and Papo Lieataua got pressure off the edge.
Mueller (177-yards), Sandoval (102) and Cerritos (70) split most the carries.
NorRock stays home and faces Santa Fe next week while Montebello stays on the road and takes on Cantwell.
