Dodgers Notes: 9/12/25

By Those Deferred BenchWarmers

At this point, we should not be surprised. Just when it seemed all was lost, the Dodgers bounced back in a big way. After losing five in a row, the Dodgers have bounced back with 4 straight wins and have increased their lead in the NL West to 2.5 games.

The Week in Review

Headline for the Week: The Dodgers Are Back to Being Back (For Now)

Results: The Dodgers swept the Rockies, outscoring Colorado 19-3 in the three game series.

Pitching Analysis: The Dodger starters have been awesome as of late, and the best rotation in baseball over the last week. Tyler Glasnow set the tone, throwing seven hitless innings before being pulled after the 7th. Emmet Sheehan followed that up with seven strong innings of his own, allowing only three hits and an earned run, and Blake Snell tossed six scoreless innings in the final game of the series. In 20 innings this week, Dodger starters gave up five hits, two runs, and had 31 strikeouts. The bullpen was also stout, throwing seven innings themselves, only allowing three hits and one run while striking out ten. Anthony Banda provided a fitting end to the series by striking out the side to end the game and series on Wednesday.

Hitting Analysis: The Dodgers offense broke out in a big way. Mookie Betts hit a grand slam and was  7 for 13 with 9 RBI. Andy Pages and Teoscar Hernandez also had strong series. Most importantly, Max Muncy and Tommy Edman came back, and it looks like the Dodgers are gearing up for the playoffs. Muncy is pivotal for the Dodgers, as they are 25-30 without Muncy, but 57-35 with him healthy.

Dodger Record Since We Said Not to Worry: 24-22

Next Series’ Preview

Matchups: The Dodgers travel to San Francisco over the weekend.

What to Look for/Analysis: The Giants have found their way back into the playoff picture, as they;’ve gone 7-3 in their last 10 games to climb above .500. They are eight games back of the Dodgers for the NL West, but only a game and a half back of the Mets for the final Wild Card spot.
