@ Rams Fan, Yes trying to get to the desert on a Friday afternoon for both schools is not the best, but looking at it, SP will have the shorter commute. SP is used to traveling long distances in CIF. Went to Valley View (in Moreno Valley) and Silverado (Victorville) last year on consecutive weeks. It’s just part of being in the CIF Southern Section which is massive in size. Which leads to the question, is the Southern Section too big?
@exD2
How did that work out last season playing in D-7 with your mercenary players against a.school.with some 70 biys?
In case I wasn’t understood the first time, I support the playoff divisions 1-9. Why? Because those are composed of teams with POSITIVE power ratings, unlike the double digits, which are loaded with teams whose claim to fame are NEGATIVE power ratings. If a team is to claim the positive of being a CIF champ, my only rule is that they should enter the tournament with a positive rating. I don’t care whose johnny or joey sweats at practice; the playoffs should be about positives, not negatives.
With that firmly off my chest, I repeat: GO BEARS!!!
Us Warren High fans don’t care that we are in D9. We could not be more thrilled with our team and the Rings we are going to earn.
La Canada at Barstow and So Pas at Palmdale? That’s brutal. A 2-3 hour bus ride each way and a game?
Good luck LC and SP you will need it.
Warren showed some spunk downing Norwalk over the weekend, so I expect their meeting with Valley Christian to be a good watch. Being in D9, this is not a DDD (Dismal Double Digit) contest, so go Bears!
You forgot Viewpoint @ La Puente.
From T. Peterson: I didn’t forget it. It wasn’t listed when I posted this because Viewpoint played Saturday. It’s up there now.
