    LOL Oilers?

Don’t hate… we’ve done pretty good as of right now. Your team has been gone for two weeks now. How about you congratulate us? We use our own players and don’t poach. Also, all of the coaching staff don’t eat tires after a loss. So come by Friday night and cheer on your own kids from a shared community.

Most of us have sized up Pioneer Football and what we see is something like a tire spinning in deep mud. It remains to be seen if the Titan program will ever size itself up to a higher division, but as a point of interest, real rising was shown by this year’s Alhambra team. Show that kind of boost and then we’ll talk about the validity of rings.

Thanks to the anonymous commenter, I looked up that Bosco-Olu result. I completely assumed that win was in the bag for Jason Negro and the Bellflower school. 20-19 in favor of the Lutherans. Wow.

There is no doubt plenty of boys could play in the upper divisions that play the lowly divisions if they had the money and the hype machines. For me I’m glad they don’t and stay close to home. It is a real pleasure to watch these warriors play real football and not money ball. I found the most enthusiastic fans are sitting on the sidelines of your local T-ball and little girls soccer games which BTW are still free. GO D14!!!!!

CO won in the 1st OT. Robbed by a horrible “roughing” penalty. Refs even met to discuss the call, but didn’t pick up the flag. WTH? The SJ QB was barely touched.
SJ was a good team and played with great sportsmanship, I must say.

Word on the street is that some certain people from the Montebello area have been eating tires all weekend. Apparently we can’t put names or feelings might get hurt.
MHS in the semifinals! It’s so fitting when you play with homegrown players and don’t poach like crazy. I’ve said it over and over, when you follow the rules and do it correctly the ball will bounce your way. Hopefully they continue to rise. It will be a tough game next week against a very good La Puente team.
So I’d like to invite some certain people from the Montebello area to tailgate with us. All the carrots and tires you can eat ..
    Go Oilers!!

Santa Margarita beat Mater Dei earlier this season, so their win over Sierra Canyon is not a shocker; it’s a validation of Carson Palmer’s coaching. Speaking of coaching, another Carson, this time Mark, keeps proving himself with yet another knockout win, 28-0 over Troy of Fullerton.
