2—On this day in 1975, UCLA’s John Wooden coached and won his last game, 92-85 over Kentucky, for his tenth NCAA title. In the 51 years since, the Bruins have won one men’s title. (See Jim Harrick-1995. Note: In November, 1996—Harrick was fired for buying Cameron Dollar and Charles O’Bannon dinner.)

3—LeBron James & Austin Reaves combined for 40 points and 21 assists to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a 120-101 victory over the Washington Wizards on Monday night. Playing without the suspended Luca Doncic, the Lakers improved to 49-26, and have won 15 of their 17 games.

7—On this day in 1931 legendary football player and coach Knute Rockne died in a plane crash in Kansas at the age of 43.
