2—Twelve games into the 2013 season, Baldwin Park (Sr.) P/3B Ben Fonseca was hitting .429 (18 of 42) and in 30-innings on the hill had a 0.47 ERA, 29 K’s, 2 complete games, a shutout, and a 3-0 record.

3—Cleveland’s Gavin Williams went 7 innings, allowed 2 hits & 3 walks, while fanning 10 in a 4-1 win over the Dodgers. The franchise formerly known as the “Indians” took two out of three from Los Angeles at the venue formerly known only as “Dodger Stadium.”

6—Former Redskins, Vikings, Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins has signed as a free agent with the Las Vegas Raiders.

7—Former MVS staffer Johnathan Saller (Temple City) turns 40 today. Former MVS photographer Andrew “Butter” Bettridge (Arroyo) turns 33.

8—USC Trojans picked up a commitment from Mater Dei CB Danny Lang (Rivals #75 overall/#10 CB) for the 2027 season. Lang had considered Ohio St. & Oregon.

9—Rams WR Puca Nacua has checked into rehab.
