  2. UCLA beat South Carolina 79-51 Sunday to win the NCAA Women’s College Basketball championship for the first time in school history. UCLA Center Lauren Betts was named Most Outstanding Player of the Tournament.
  3. UConn guard Silas Demary is the son of former Arena Football League player Silas Demary, who played for the LA Avengers.
  4. Michigan has outscored its opponents by 22.5 points per game in the 2026 NCAA Tournament.
  5. Gerald Paddio, who played a significant role on UNLV’s 1987 Final Four team, was killed in a single-car crash in Louisiana Saturday. He was 60 years of age.
  6. Angels outfielder Jo Adell robbed Seattle of three homeruns in a 1-0 win over the Mariners Saturday night.
  7. Lakers star Luka Doncic suffered a Grade 2 left hamstring strain in a loss to Oklahoma City last Thursday and could be out at least four weeks. Austin Reaves has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 left oblique muscle injury and will be out the rest of the regular season.
  8. The Dodgers beat Washington 8-6 Sunday to complete a three-game sweep of the Nationals.
  9. Dodgers’ shortstop Mookie Betts was placed on the injured list Sunday with a right oblique strain and could miss four to six weeks.
  10. College Baseball: UCLA beat USC 10-4 Sunday to complete a three-game sweep of the Trojans.
