7 on 7 tournaments are literally the biggest display of crybaby bs coming from kids and coaches… and all for a competition that ultimately means nothing in the grand scheme of things. I never understood why people would be willing to run plays during 7 on just for the sake of winning despite never using those same plays in an actual game scenario.
I wouldn’t be surprised if BP ended up in a higher division and still took it all – they have recruits galore and could go all the way if they win the right amount of games on their schedule. They have to stay healthy and disciplined to do it though.
The LS QB that threw is a current freshman and will be taking the reigns next year. The current starter is definitely the 3rd best in the program (its been said by a whole lot of people in the community)
Amat will always be the gold standard of the SGV because of the brand they developed and having the benefit of being a private school.
I used to like coming to these things but after watching just 2 games had to leave. Way too much to chirping from kids and way too many coaches complaining about time, penalties, and anything else they want to complain about.
With that being said, here’s what I saw
1. Charter Oak has athletes galore.
2. With the talent they have, if Baldwin Park isn’t in a division higher than D-8, it is either coaching may practice or the CIF system is truly broken.
3. I don’t think La Serna QB was their actual starter but the kid who was throwing has a cannon. People were saying that the starting LS QB might actually be the 3rd best QB in the program.
4. Bishop Amat is still the gold standard of the SGV.
5. Muir has some really good athletes and may be ready take an even higher leap. They seem to be getting better every year.
6. Rowland looks good. But can someone tell that coach to ditch those chain t-shirts!!!
