  3. Christian Pulisic of the United States suffered a bone bruise and microfracture in his lower leg in the loss to Belgium and is expected to miss four to six weeks before returning to AC Milan.
  4. The Clippers-Toronto Raptors trade involving Kawhi Leonard has been placed on hold as the NBA investigates into whether the Clippers circumvented the salary cap.
  5. Serbian forward Nikola Kusturica has reached a multi-year agreement to play for UCLA. Kusturica, 17, is considered the best European prospect in his age group and could be the number 1 pick in the 2028 NBA draft.
  6. A jersey worn by New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson during Game 1 of the 2026 NBA Finals sold at Sotheby’s for $1,024,000 Wednesday, a record for the most paid for a Knicks collectible of any kind.

  10. Former NFL running back Roger Craig turns 66 today. Craig, who spent eight years with the San Francisco 49ers, rushed for 13,100 yards in an 11-year career. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2026.
