Lancers No Match for Spartans

By Duane Barker (Montebello, CA) The Schurr Spartans hosted the Bell Gardens Lancers in an Almont League matchup Friday night at Ken Davis Field on the campus of Schurr High School. The Spartans scored early and often en route to a 49-7 victory.

By Tim Peterson (Monrovia) -Jason Hong ran over, around and through Monrovia for 233 yards and five touchdowns to lead South Pasadena to a 56-28 thrashing of the Wildcats Friday night in Rio Hondo League action.

Alhambra Beats Keppel to Snap Eight-Game Losing Streak

By Ron Vrooman (Alhambra) – The Alhambra Moors crushed the Mark Keppel Aztecs, 48-16, last Friday night to snap an eight-game losing streak which included consecutive losses to San Gabriel late in the 2022 season.

Crescenta Valley 34 Burbank 14- FINAL

(Glendale) – Crescenta Valley beat Burbank 34-14 Friday night in Pacific League action. Crescenta Valley improved to 5-2 overall and 1-1 in the Pacific League while Burbank fell to 2-5 and 0-2. Here are a few shots from photographer Doug Brown.

San Marino Comes From Behind, 21-17

By Rich Whittington (San Marino) The San Marino Titans came back from a 17-7 halftime deficit, scoring 14 unanswered second half points, to defeat the visiting La Canada Spartans Friday evening, 21-17, at San Marino High School.

La Serna Slams Santa Fe, 62-14

By George Hernandez Whittier] – Owen Long and Jayden Northrop combined for six touchdowns and that was more than enough for La Serna to rout Santa Fe 62-14 Thursday night at Sandy T Stadium.

Sierra Vista Tops Rosemead 18-6
