Gold Coast League at a Glance
By Tim Peterson Rio Hondo Prep is going to be tough to unseat in the Gold Coast. The Kares are coming off of back-to-back CIF titles and have several players returning. They moved up in Divisions last year from 9 to 7 and still won the championship.
Almont League at a Glance
By Tim Peterson This looks like it’s Schurr’s league to lose. With a new head coach and a freshman quarterback the Spartans have had a nice summer. Bell Gardens, San Gabriel and Montebello can all compete but unless one of them can jump up and bite Schurr they will all be competing for second place.

Tustin Takes Clash in the Canyons Tourney
By Tim Peterson (Azusa) – Tustin beat Bishop Amat in the Final to win the Clash in the Canyons Tournament at Azusa High School Saturday. Tustin beat Bishop Montgomery in the Semi-Finals while Bishop Amat knocked off Granite Hills. Tustin was led by sophomore quarterback Ayden Edwards.
