High School Baseball Area Top 25
One week left in the regular season but there’s still a lot to be settled. The Del Rio, Montview, Valle Vista and Suburban are all up for grabs. South Hills is still dead even for first in the Sierra.
High School Softball Top 25
Great week of clinching games for some of the area’s top teams. Congratulations go out to La Canada and San Dimas for clinching its league titles. This week Schurr, and Village Christian can become league champs with a solid week.
Davalos Pitches Knights to Brink of Title
(El Monte) – Tony Davalos fired a complete game and Arroyo got all the runs it needed in the first inning in a 2-1 win over Gabrielino Friday in a key Mission Valley League contest.
Freshmen Lead Braves over Wilson

Arroyo-Rosemead Rescheduled
(Rosemead) – Wednesday’s Arroyo-Rosemead baseball game at Rosemead was canceled due to a flooded field. Apparently the water was left on over night by the construction crew rendering the field impossible to play on. The game has been rescheduled for Friday May 13.
