Baldwin Park and Walnut under the Lights…in May
(Baldwin Park) – Baldwin Park and Walnut squared off Friday night in a passing competition. But it wasn’t your typical passing competition. It was 11 on 11 instead of the traditional 7 on 7 and it was under the Friday night lights at Baldwin Park High.

(Diamond Bar) – After finishing at the bottom of the Sierra League going winless, the dramatic turnaround by Diamond Bar reached its grand conclusion with a 1-0 win over West Covina to get a share of the Hacienda League title.
Knights Clinch Crown in Final Game
(Rosemead) – Arroyo jumped out to a 4-0 lead after three innings and then held the rest of the way in a 4-1 win over Rosemead Friday. With the victory, the Knights clinched the Mission Valley League title.

(San Gabriel) – Andres Fernandez, who played wide receiver and defensive back for San Gabriel last year, has chosen to play for the University of La Verne in the Fall Matador Coach Jude Oliva confirmed Thursday.

(Glendale) – Chris Long has stepped down at Hoover after three years on the job. The Tornadoes are coming off a year in which they went 1-9 but Long did leave the team with one of its biggest varsity classes in recent history.
