Gladiator Defense Too Much for Monsoons
(Anaheim) – Mayfair’s magical run through the CIF Division 2A playoffs came to an end at Anaheim Arena after losing to “Cinderella” Gahr team, 63-48. Both teams needed to knock off higher seeded teams to advance to finals with the Gladiators being the seventh seed in the Division.

Third Quarter Not Friendly to Kares
(Anaheim) – Mesa Grande Academy’s defense clamped down on Rio Hondo Prep during the third quarter by not allowing a field goal for 7:32 to win its first ever CIF championship in Girls Basketball, 48-44. It is the Kares fifth runner-up finish.
