Interesting? After reading the accusations of LS just running out the clock I checked the stats on the LS-LA game on Max Preps. So far LS entered their defensive stats tackles etc but no stats on their offensive results. All 0’s. 0000000. Did they even try to throw? Did they try to run? Did they try? You know LS loves to tout their offensive stats. Maybe the stats are coming. Maybe the stats got lost in the computer. Maybe the dog ate them.

Ls fans stay with ER in mind, 10/13/23 immediately after our game… YOU BECOME THE FOCUS… until then Ls is irrelevant to us but I’m glad to hear you keep thinking of us… lol.. I feel like Freddy Krueger about to get you in your dreams… LOL
La Serna hung with a loaded Los Alamitos team. I don’t see anyone in league beating them. it will be a battle for 2nd place.
Went to the game at Veterans. LS played tough on D but Los Al too much. What was funny is that La Serna fans always talking crap on El Rancho for trying to milk the clock against La Serna and what did La Serna do against Los Alamitos? Milk the clock and let it wind down before snapping it!!! Guess it’s ok when the shoes on the other foot lol

One thing I will say about La Serna, they don’t shy away in the preseason. They schedule some tough schools. Hats off to them

I watched the entire game His coach, almost scores and should’ve scores don’t count. No such thing as a good loss either. La Serna is the cream of the crop in the San Gabriel Valley, nothing I wrote was false or emotionally based. Wish La Serna nothing but the best.
i saw the game with my own eyes, LS was not even close. LA kept making mistakes left and right. LS like always played LS football , little mistakes, kill the clock, strong defense.
kept the game from being 60-0 , but anyone who was there can tell you LA was destroying themselves.

I agree with the general thought here. There is little overlap between skill set of NFL (especially running back) player and D14 high school
coach . And I previously raised questions about what happened last year at Fresno Roosevelt. Still I don’t think it’s fair to pass judgement yet given the task Coach was given: hired at the very start of 3 week “ dead period “., no scrimmage , so 3 weeks to get to know squad , put in some basic schemes and play a team smelling blood .

Your points are much more clearly stated here …..the Rosemead comment underscores coaching aspect : how can they be shutout by San Gabriel if there are athletes around the field , and how bad would the score have been without so many green penalties?
Also I was less than impressed with SG offense over the summer . I think this is their highest point total of the season.
Last time I checked a tackle by one guy counted just as much as a gang tackle. BTW I dont see how La Serna is #1 in the SGV. True they beat Pasadena but Pasadena has been outscored by a total of 129-0 in only 2 games. I mean call off the dogs already. That’s Keppel territory.
@oldwhitmont guy last time I checked scores by the defense counted. I believe the score was 13 -6 when the L S corner #2 had a pick that was 1 guy from being a pick 6 .U qmust have been at the snack bar when that occurred.

SF talking about competing you have been competitive for almost a decade D14 didn’t even want you.
Won’t take long for Santa Fe to catch up and smack the Dons of Pico. Every year so much hype from their fans and they can’t even compete in division 12. Let’s go Chiefs.
A very inexperienced ER was up 20-0 in that game, truly should’ve been over early. I have to give Santa Fe credit though they fought and didn’t give up and had every chance to win the game. I expect SF to be improved this season, anytime you go 0-10 you have nowhere to go but up. The Del Rio league teams need to do better and keep their kids, it’s pointless for every good athlete in Whittier, sfs to end up at 1 HS.

I’m not sure what you’re questioning, I felt Rosemead had good athletes and were missing a good quarterback to make the game competitive.
Explore the passing because when they play tougher league opponents they won’t be able to push over the linemen so easily and spreading the field is a good alternative.
Petty flags kinda stopped the momentum and would have been critical against a better team. I remember an unsportsmanlike conduct after signaling a first down, or unnecessary roughness for making a good tackle.
Again don’t know what you are questioning but I am clarifying my point.
What happened to Palm Springs @ Monrovia?
I must have been at a different game played at Veterans Stadium, La Serna’s offense could not do a thing vs. Los Alamitos. La Serna’s one TD was a pick 6, La Serna will roll in the Del Rio and should get out of the 1st Round but “a bounce here a bounce there” I don’t think so.
For a guy who always talks a lot of smack seeking attn why don’t you have at it yourself joker! Mediocre teams what do you want ? Need a pat on the back to go along with your stat padding cupcake schedule with extra frosting give me break!

I don’t think any loss is a good loss but with La Serna and St.Paul taking L’s this week could keep them out of those top 3 divisions and give them a shot. Look what difference a year makes last year BA lights up SP, this year a one point game. It’s not only the guys BA lost it’s also the great coaching SP is getting now.
Mountain View is 2-0 with a Workman team next week 3-0? I’m call it now a playoff bid for the first time in what is it? 20 years.
Cal, Whittier falling into the Santa Fe abyss. Pounded by mediocre teams. Is La Serna sucking up all the local talent from surrounding publics? La Serna after staying even with Los Alimitos for 3 quarters proved it can play with the biggest of national programs. A bounce here and there the Lancers win that game. Warren will be hungry after getting shut out. La Serna beats them easy at home. Not a public school right now in the SGV that can beat them or even come close.

Going for a gimic play after your O-line and runners have been pushing Amats line backwards was nuts. It was Pete Carroll not giving the ball on the two yard line to Marshawn Lynch and try a pass play against the Patriots. It was picked of course. The Seahawks have never recovered 8 years later. You let your line go mano a mano and let the best team win. This smacked of the coach thinking I want credit for the win so lets do my Alley Oop play. This might put Moschetti and St. Paul on tilt as the poker players say for the rest of the season.
Dominant win for ER. Example- 2nd possession ER had 4 straight holding calls against them and offense still scored easily. With a cancelled game Monrovia will be hungry to prove something next week against ER. La Serna v Los Alamitos. After humiliating Pasadena a win here kicks La Serna up to a D2 team and maybe a D1. On paper Santa Fe looks like it has the best shot of grabbing a win against Burbank but all of the Del Rio will be underdogs.
What part of ER’s schedule is the cupcake part? Don Lugo is most likely a playoff team in 23, BG, Montebello, Monrovia, Mayfair, West Covina all playoff teams in 2022. If ER was about stats they wouldn’t have emptied the bench in the 2nd quarter last night. Humility and class would go a long way, you know who you are.
El Rancho with the cupcake schedule then wants everyone to believe they have legit stats. Step up El Rancho donnas, do better scheduling on your preseason.
