Any chance you could post standings in these new leagues/conferences?

A solid High School football program does not fall to pieces because a group of seniors graduated. Experienced players leave every program every year. But solid programs although maybe not as good as a previous year still have a good measure of continuity. The reason is it is a program not a All-Star team built around players that move in and leave. There are only a few of these type of schools that have such programs left anymore. Because too many coaches are always looking for greener pastures after 1 year of success.

Schurr might be in trouble. Lost a ton of seniors, not much depth, going to a tougher league now. Not the same playing Keppel or Alhambra or any of the old Almont foes having a few gimmes per season, that offense won’t help them either.

Agree with you NWO, I prob wouldn’t put Bernard in the same coaching group (from personal opinion) but def fun vibes to have in the coaching room. All criticism aside I appreciate anyone pouring into the kiddos at that salary range

I think they are talking about South Pasadena and not St. Paul.

SP vs LC is gonna be a good one. I’ve heard LC is down on the lines quite a bit. Not nearly as physical as they’ve been the last two years.

Learn even more about both teams on Friday.

Yes, SG gets some talented kids from their local feeder program, but Jones, Jude, Bernard, and Encinas are missed.

SP was more physical? Are you serious? They better be against Whittie. My goodness take your blinders off. Their absolutely terrible. It’s going to be a long season.

    SGHS vs. SPHS

SP was hands down more physical and better coached. That said, I genuinely think an Encinas-level coach at SGHS would’ve eaten that SPHS team alive.

SGHS has some legit ballers in 1, 0, 2, 11, and especially 69 and 7. The talent is there. The coaching, though, was probably as bad as the Ledesma-level coaching that almost lost to MK.

Easy example: down 28–0 with two minutes left in the half, SG runs only three plays, including a run, with no attempt at a two-minute drill.

Great academics, great demographics, and historically some really high highs and really low lows. SGHS always feels like it’s one Coach O-type hire away from turning the whole program into something special.

    Call me a dreamer.
