1.) Cerritos (member of the Suburban League) will drop varsity football for the rest of the season, citing player safety.

“After careful consideration and consultation, the Cerritos High School varsity football program will be modifying our schedule by participating at the junior-varsity levels of competition for the remainder of this season.”— Statement sent out by co-athletics director Robert Adams.

The Dons were 0-10 last season, 0-4 this season, their last winning season came in 2003

2.) Former Temple City trenchman Tony Forrand is 31 today.

3.) Angels first baseman Albert Pujols: 554 at-bats, 30 home runs, 96 Rbis, .283 batting average.

4.) On this date in 2007 Blair’s Devin Fuller rushed for 292 yards in the Vikings 45-10 win over Hoover.

5.) Vince Young is broke.
