Godinez (1-1) at Santa Fe (2-0)
Last Year: Santa Fe 14-0
The Chiefs are rolling winning their first two games including a shutout last week of Esperanza. No Reason to think they’ll stumble this week against Godinez. Santa Fe has a non league schedule that will gear the Chiefs up for the Del Rio.
Santa Fe 21 Godinez 7
Rancho Alamitos (0-2) at Pioneer (1-1) – at California High
Last Year: Rancho Alamitos 20-14
Rancho Alamitos has lost its first two games but did run up 42 points last week in a three point loss to Savanna. Pioneer and Jonathan Jimenez dropped 44 on Glenn. Expect a shootout as both teams can put points on the baord. The Titans should be the last team standing.
Pioneer 34 Rancho Alamitos 31
San Marino (1-0) at Crescenta Valley (1-0) at Glendale High
Last Year: San Marino 27-7
San Marino was impressive in an opening night win over Duarte while Crescenta Valley cruised 54-20 over Verdugo Hills as Brian Gadsby tossed six touchdown passes. CV is explosive but it’s hard to imagine the Titans D giving up six through the air. A strong defensive effort and enough offensively and it should be all good for the Titans.
San Marino 27 Crescenta Valley 20
South (Torrance) (0-1) at Rosemead (0-1)
Last Year: South 33-27
The Panthers had trouble scoring points last week. They’ll need to do much more offensively to knock off South. The Spartans came up on the short end of a 42-20 score with Carpenteria. The guess here is the Panthers find their way early offensively and then the defense holds on.
Rosemead 24 South 14
