2.) Former Temple City Rams (Class of 2000) trenchman Tony Forrand turns 32 today.

3.) Kansas City Chiefs HC Andy Reid receives standing ovation on his return to Philadelphia last night. Reid coached the Eagles from 1999 to 2012. The Chiefs won 26-16.

4.) On this date in 2001 Monrovia went to Burbank and defeated the Bulldogs 18-6. B-Bank committed five turnovers. The Wildcats were led by A.C. Grable’s 104 yards on 15 carries, he also added a 2-yard touchdown run.

6.) Los Angeles Dodgers win National League West for 11th time with 7-6 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday (9/19) afternoon.

7.) Out of state transfer Hawkins Mann collects a pair of sacks in his debut for Burroughs, the Indians lost 48-14 to Camarillo on Thursday night.

8.) On this date in 1981 the Los Angeles Rams defeated the Green Bay Packers 35-23 in Anaheim. Wendell Tyler rushed for 108 yards and a pair of scores. The Rams starting quarterback was Jeff Rutledge (5-10-70yds), who completed a 30-yard touchdown pass to Drew Hill.

9.) The Cleveland Browns have signed nine year veteran Willis McGahee. McGahee has rushed for 8,097 yards with Buffalo, Baltimore and Denver, which released him in June.

10.) Yankees lefthander Andy Pettitte will retire, again, after the 2013 season.
