3.) On this date in 1978 Cullen Bryant rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries as the Los Angeles Rams defeated the Green Bay Packers, 31-14, at the Coliseum. Rod Perry, Bill Simpson, and Pat Thomas all intecepted passes. Pat Haden started for the Rams, David Whitehurst for the Packers.

4.) Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker hits 61-yard field goal to beat the Detroit Lions, 18-16, on Monday night.

5.) Paraclete (sophomore) RB Melquise Stovall’s final stats: 198 carries for 2,184 yds, rushing, 2,785 total yards, 43 touchdowns.

10.) Southern California MMA pioneer Joe Camacho (13-19) passes away yesterday of a heart attack at Queen of the Valley Hospital. He was 41 years old.
