La Serna and Los Altos moved up after Charger Oak dropped a couple notches after struggling to beat Colony. Five teams are still undefeated as we head down the stretch. Several teams have league titles in their sights.
1. Bishop Amat (6-1) – Bishop Amat just keeps winning; Notre Dame Sherman Oaks next.
2. Bonita (7-0) – Isaiah Guerrero puts Bonita on the next level.
3. La Serna (6-1) – Landon Armenta set school record for receiving yards in a single game with 304.
4. Los Altos (7-0) – The Conquerors have scored 40 or more points in six of its seven games.
5. Charter Oak (7-0) – Chargers struggle to beat Colony; Key matchup with Glendora this week.
6. Baldwin Park (6-1) – Braves biggest test will be Los Altos in two weeks.
7. Nogales (7-0) – Nobles looking to run the table.
8. Alta Loma (6-1) – Lions defense is in lock down mode.
9. Rio Hondo Prep (5-2) – Kares get unbeaten Viewpoint this week.
10. La Mirada (5-2) – Big loss for Matadores; Looking to bounce back against Downey.
11. El Rancho (5-2) – Dons open Metro League play this week at Schurr.
12. San Marino (7-0) – Titans look like the favorites in the Boulder League.
I’m interested to see how La Mirada does against Downey, to compare their effort with what happened to them versus La Serna. This should give us a better handle on what’s apt to happen in that very big Downey-LS showdown.
Hot Take: St. Paul wins a CIF title this year.
guess you guys stopped covering downey eh
I think you also know this but CJ Mattman got hurt and will likely be out against Burbank. That game on Friday is going to be a lot of fun I think and it’s gonna really show you what both teams are made of this year.
A little surprised that La Canada isn’t on here after that huge win against Muir.
From T. Peterson: I covered that game and yes I thought about it. But Muir isn’t in my Top 12 either.
