(La Canada) – St. Francis wasn’t exactly lighting up the scoreboard Saturday night in the Championship game of the La Canada Tournament. But the Golden Knights used a stingy defense to beat Keppel 47-45 to win the Tourney title.

Evan Crawford led St. Francis with 11 points and Kyle Leufroy added ten. The Golden Knights were up 45-31 with just under four minutes left to play before Keppel rallied down the stretch only to fall a bucket short. Both teams shooting percentages were in the thirties. Bertram Mak was the scoring leader for Keppel with 11.

St. Francis improved to 7-1 while Keppel fell to 7-2 with the loss.
