Chargers Claim Hacienda in Rout

(Chino) -All teams enter their regular season finale either looking to build momentum into the playoffs or looking to end the season on a winning note if the playoffs are not a possibility. Charter Oak made its case for post season play by routing Chino 56-21.

The Chargers jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first before Chino scored on a 67 yard TD pass from Thornton to Murray to cut the lead 10-7. This is as close to victory as the Cowboys came. The Chargers scored 17 unanswered points in the second to go into the half up 27-7.

In an eventful third quarter Chino opened the second half scoring on their 1st drive to cut the lead to 27-14 at the 10:47 mark. Less than 20 seconds later the Chargers answered with a 66 yard TD pass from Kam Brown to Brian Casteel. The two teams exchanged another pair of touchdowns in the third before the Chargers scored the last 7 points the third.. The Chargers tacked on another TD in the fourth to win by the final of 56-21.

  • Chino’s James Carradine rushed for 97 yards on 12 carries 1 TD
