De Anza League
Rancho Mirage (3-1, 0-0) at 29Palms (3-0, 0-0)
Locals, desert types, are favoring the 29ers but you know how we roll here at The Mid…How can we ever go against the Rams. RM wins a tight one.

NON-LEAGUE
Atascadero (2-1, 0-0) at Nipomo (2-2, 0-0)
My feelings toward the Titans this week is like Michael Corleone’s toward Fredo’s; “You broke my heart!” They broke my heart in Santa Ynez last week and now they are about to get broken apart by the Greyhounds.
Atascadero 38 Nipomo 13
Mary Star of the Sea (2-1, 0-0) at Bishop Montgomery (3-1, 0-0)
The Knights are going to take a ladder and steal the Stars from the sky…the visitors are going to put on Sinatra and start to cry.
Bishop Montgomery 35 Mary Star 6
Linfield Christian (4-0) at Maranatha (2-2)
Truly a case of the Christian school being fed to the Lions. Not to worry, the Minutemen will right this ship…just not against Linfield. However, we truly expect them to be Burns’d.

Notre Dame-Riverside (3-0, 0-0) at Jurupa Valley (1-2, 0-0)
Pop quiz Jurupa…You’ve got a dangerous Titans team stepping onto your field. What do you do? Let’s clarify, what do you do to keep it under 60?
Notre Dame-Riverside 56 Jurupa Valley 12
Ontario Christian (3-1, 0-0) at Valley Christian (4-0, 0-0)
These are two evenly matched teams, these are Top Ten teams, and teams that have made great early statements that they intend to be around a while. But the Crusaders, with a suffocating defense, are tough to bet against.
Valley Christian 16 Ontario Christian 10
La Canada (2-2, 0-0) at Rio Hondo Prep (1-2, 0-0)
The Kares legacy is so big, so deep, and so tall that it is never, ever, easy to pick against them. However, we have no choice this time around. At any other time of year you wouldn’t say this about the Spartans, except when they play RHP. LC has more depth, they will wear the Kares down and take the win.
La Canada 35 Rio Hondo Prep 21
Sierra Canyon (4-0, 0-0) at Mission Prep (3-0, 0-0)
My advice is free and is offered unsolicited to the Royals. Stay Alive! It’s not about winning this game, it’s about keeping tendons, ligaments, and bones together for Northern League action. Respect both programs, but the Trailblazers have you outgunned.
