2. Warren quarterback Jordan Yancy 2015 stats: 57-110-1129 yards, 15 TD, 2 Int.

3. The Toronto Blue Jays beat Kansas City 7-1 to cut the Royals series lead to 3-2 in the ALCS.

4. The Mets beat the Cubs 8-3 to sweep the NLCS and advance to the World Series. Daniel Murphy homers in his sixth consecutive post season game- a new record.

5. Peninsula High School ends its season with three games left citing safety issues. Peninsula had 27 players to start the season but has lost several to injuries. The three remaining opponents will receive forfeit wins.

6. The Cleveland Cavaliers sign Tristan Thompson to a five-year, $82 million deal.

7. Downey at Warren Friday night, 7:00 p.m.

8. Michigan State DB Jalen Watts-Jackson, who returned the fumble for a touchdown to beat Michigan last Saturday, suffered a broken hip on the play and is out for the season.

9. Happy Birthday to Japanese and still active MLB star Ichiro Suzuki who turns 42 today.

10. South Pasadena is 7-0 and has outscored its opponents 261-75. The Tigers are at San Marino Friday night.
