According to the CDC, the survival rate for Covid patients ages 0-19 is 99.997%. For ages 20-49, it is 99.98%. For ages 50-69, it is 99.5%. For ages 70-plus, it is 94.5%. If we were to hear that these are the survival rates for patients with heart disease or cancer, we would have to conclude that those afflictions no longer pose much of a threat, that they had been effectively conquered. But our government and media tell us those Covid numbers should keep us awake nights. Time to give it a rest.

The safety police are going to wreck L.A. County high school football. I’am sure once all football players, staff, cheerleaders, bands and there staffs are tested every team will have a few that will turn up positive and probably false positives. If I read correctly hospitalizations and deaths are down again in the SGV while positive tests are a slight uptick. Let them play. Heck more kids will be injured on the field than will get football related covid infections that stop any and all football activities cold. Covid is here to stay. Forever! If parents and fans decide to go outside and eat luke warm hot dogs and cold pizza and hope they don’t get sick , well God bless em. I don’t want to die of Covid, I’am vaccinated but I will risk going outside to watch my kid play football. Life is some risk every day right?

The SEM vs BP is not postponed. It’s a forfeit and BP gets the win. That’s the CIF rule this year. CIF screwed up last year by not letting the teams go to the playoffs. This year might be worse and again maybe no playoffs. A lot of school kids are not vaccinated.

Winning 19 straight pre season games is about as good as a girl agreeing to go to the prom with you when its your sister.
